* Introductions

* Slideshow: Permaculture Principles, with relevance to edible landscape and garden design. Examples of some permaculture designs of suburban properties.

* Concept definitions (brief recap): permaculture, organics, edible landscaping, microclimates, water harvesting, sectors, zones, guilds.

* Creation of Guilds

* Connections, Sectors, Zones & Guilds Activity – includes the relationship of social areas, pathways, children’s play spaces, small domesticated animals, composting and water harvesting systems

Pot Luck Lunch

- includes display and casual sharing about participants properties

* Observation, Survey & Analysis Activity - Sectors, Site and Microclimates, followed by shareback of discoveries

* Client Interview – vision, limiting factors, practical/technical info

* Introduction to The Design Process

Learning the steps from Broadscale Concept Design stage to Detailed Design. Showing examples.

SUNDAY

* Introductions

* Review of Site Survey & Client Brief

* Creating a Wholistic Goal

* Activating the Broadscale Concept Design and arriving at consensus on areas and elements placement

Pot Luck Lunch

* Detailed Design (done individually or in pairs) with relevance to participant’s interest for a guild or small area of own property

* Research Approaches & Resources

* Design Presentations (brief) by individuals

* Implementation Tips

* Summary, Networking & Support Opportunities, Wrap-up & Feedback

In the event that a participant cancels the following refunds will apply:

- by 9pm Sun 30 October: 80% refund - between 9pm Sun 30 Oct and 9pm Tues 1 Nov: 60% of their deposit will be repaid - after 9pm Tues 1 Oct:  0% refund In the unlikely event of workshop cancellation:  You will be notified at 9am Wed 4 November, with a full refund sent across that morning.
