Learn how to apply Permaculture Design principles to people care and social change, to create a culture of co-operation within any organisation.  Explore social tools and processes for effective group collaboration, which assist groups, teams, businesses and families to be at their best.

Gain insight into how the integration of effective social systems such as Sociocratic Governance, Restorative Justice, Conflict Management and Compassionate Communication (NVC) can transform our inner and outer landscapes. Discover how to meet collective needs without compromising individual needs, so finding common ground to build regenerative community.

You will leave this course with a good understanding of how groups function and a packed solutions-based facilitation toolbox to apply in your community development work.

No prior permaculture experience necessary.

Day 1: Laying the foundations and introducing the facilitation tools

Day 2: Applying these tools to your specific group situations

CONTRIBUTION

Low income: $150 - 1 day, $200 - 2 days

Standard Income: $225 - 1 day, $275 - 2 days

Businesses/Organisation: $250 - 1 day, $325 - 2 days

Attendance: If you can only attend one day, it needs to be the 1st day. For attending both days, cost for the 2nd day is significantly reduced.

FACILITATOR INFO

Robina McCurdy

Robina is pioneer-resident of 40-year-old Tui Community & Land Trust in Golden Bay, and founder of the Institute of Earthcare Education Aotearoa.  She has been a Permaculture educator-designer for 35 years, producing a range of community resilience resources focusing on participatory processes for decision-making and collective action. Through her focus on Social Permaculture she has facilitated community-building in 10 different countries with 38 community organisations and 25 land-based intentional communities.

Charley Bradley

Charley is a Permaculture Educator and Practitioner with Earthcare Education Aotearoa. As a biological pharmacist and psychotherapist, he integrates healthcare with Compassionate Communication (NVC),Sociocracy, and Restorative Justice. Applying these principles to Social Permaculture, Charley fosters regenerative, community-driven solutions that promote personal and ecological well-being, helping individuals and bioregions thrive in a time of challenge and transformation.

Lillee Star

Lillee has been a permaculturalist for over 20 years working on multiple properties in the UK, Central America, Australia and Aotearoa NZ.  She is a founder of Canterbury Permaculture Institute, an organiser of community events and designer of community gardens. Her involvement in NZ started in 2012 with the Chch Food Forest Collective which led to consultancy and design work with Food Resilience Network/ Edible Canterbury. Lillee is passionate about the threads that link people, places and purpose to create regenerative culture.
