This new project is in collaboration with the Food Resilience Network in bringing about Edible Canterbury.
Primarily this site will be the market garden for the Ōtākaro Orchard Cafe fresh produce, as well as supplying the green grocer that will be inside the same building. We will also extend to supply produce to the local community in the promotion and action towards net zero emissions of food production, as close as we can get to this target.
We will also be running permaculture education from this site and will be running a number of research projects.
