Spent the morning in Sumner today to visit the Food Forest and van Asch School and to sign the contract for the Learning Exchange (Food Forest) Coordinator for the site, it now official!!
So beautiful to see the blossoms coming out on Nectarines, Peaches, Cherries, and to see all the diversity of trees, shrubs and groundcover at this site.
Took time to identify some next steps needed in the planting and maintenance of the site.
Looking forward to the Permaculture Design Certificate group visiting here in November as part of the Small Food Production module. We get to learn about guilds and plant some new arrangements around the exciting fruit trees and learn about the beneficial functions that they have.
